Proloquo2Go is one of the most popular augmentative and alternative communication apps for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. CBS’s 60 Minutes featured the impact of this app on communication for individuals with autism and their families. We embedded the video in the post for easy viewing.
Its back-to-school time, and many school districts/boards and schools have purchased iPads over the summer, either for large-scale initiatives or for smaller pilot projects for mobile learning within their schools. Mobile learning initiatives for special education in your school or district must be developed by examining how apps fit within the bigger picture.
