Another update for our “There’s a Special App for That” posts! We’re still using all of the apps we recommended in Part 1 – but we wanted to add 6 apps for creating social stories plus a great resource.

Proloquo2Go is one of the most popular augmentative and alternative communication apps for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. CBS’s 60 Minutes featured the impact of this app on communication for individuals with autism and their families. We embedded the video in the post for easy viewing.
Its back-to-school time, and many school districts/boards and schools have purchased iPads over the summer, either for large-scale initiatives or for smaller pilot projects for mobile learning within their schools.
