e-Books on the iPad In Celebration of Family Literacy Day

Its Family Literacy Day today in Canada!  Check out local events in your community at ABC Life Literacy Canada.

This year’s theme is “Play for Literacy.”  To celebrate at home with your child, why not read some e-books on the iPad? Some suggestions:

Jack and the Beanstalk Children’s Interactive Storybook (incredibly interactive)

Mabel and Lulu: The Real Life Adventures (free today for Family Literacy Day!)

Little Critter-All By Myself (and many more in the Little Critter series)

Dr. Seuss’ Yertle the Turtle (just one of the wonderful Dr. Seuss books available by Oceanhouse Media)

The Berenstain Bears Play a Good Game (we think all of the Berenstain Bears e-book apps are a good bet)

Alice for the iPad (this is beautifully illustrated)

See Moms with Apps (apps for reading) for a comprehensive list of e-book developers.

Happy iPad reading!
